5pm-7pm Hoping to see you there! Many thanks to the City of Reno Arts & Cultural Commission.
A year ago I entered a juried contest with the City of Reno to exhibit my Oil Pastel Smudge landscapes of the Nevada Desert in one of their galleries. I was selected and given a year to create new works. The Exhibit is up! Many Thanks to the City of Reno Arts & Cultural Commission.
When you can take a peak at this site where I found some great ideas on how to go about writing an Artist Statement and Bio. Hope you are inspired to do one of your own. https://www.theartleague.org/blog/2015/08/24/artist-statements-we-love/
Joining organizations that enhance your talents, resources for growth and business skills, is the best way to gain exposure to you, your work, and brand. Being a member of the Association of Creative Industries (AFCI) has enhanced my exposure as an Artist/Designer, Educator and Inventor beyond my expectations.
A Blogger-Contest around a project I always wished to create was presented and for fun, giggles and something new to decorate my garden, I entered. Take a peak, click on the image below, and please cast your vote for my Jeweled Mandala Hubcap.
A great article to get you moving into the right direction! Check it out!
I am in the process of updating one of my websites and found this article helpful. Found on the Handmade Business Articles site! Hope you find it helpful too!
I met an Editor of a local publication (print and on-line) a few years back and wished to create some coloring pages for her Generation Boomer Magazine. We talked some more and realized a better idea was to create articles supporting the ARTS in the Reno/Lake Tahoe and surrounding areas. What a wonderful experience this has been.
I had to keep a secret for maybe over 2 months. I entered a contest to be involved with the 2018 CREATIVATION Show "INNOVATION CENTER" and the "Ultimate Pitch" of the AFCI Association of Creative Industries yearly conference held in Phoenix, AZ. I made it to the first round, to be able to exhibit at the show. The next round was to be 4 of 12 participants chosen to pitch their innovative, idea, technique or product to win $10,000. I didn't make the 4 finalists. Even though I didn't come home with the $10,000 the experience was invaluable.
It doesn't hurt to reach for your goals. You may get farther then you ever imagined!
Another website I have produced is Calligraphy-theLetteraryArts.com. This is my next project. What's yours?
