a business is a creation
all its own!

A Business is a Creation of its Own!

Picture
  • Similar to learning to work with a brush and paint to create a painting or a needle and thread to make a quilt, or your choice in beads to string a necklace,  it is the tools you use, and the choices you make to create a business.

Know what your business is to look like, feel like and be!

These are the questions you need to ask yourself.

Who, What, When, Where, Why, How
and most importantly "Because!"

Who do you see your self being as an artist and business person?

Think of someone, and their business, as an example of where you would like to see yourself in the future.

What will you do to make your business the best it can be and similar in scope to the art and business person you admire?

When do you see your business coming into fruition, is NOW even the time?  If not, what more do you need to do to have it be "THE TIME?"

Where would you like to see yourself in a week, month, six months, the next year, two or five?

Where do you envision spending most of your time?  In the studio, at arts and craft shows, exhibiting in galleries, teaching your craft? Whom do you envision spending most of your time with?

Importantly...why does what you do mean so much to you, and why should it mean that much more to someone else for them to pay money to have your art or service?

What makes what you do so very unique and different and excitingly newer then anyone else?  If you can honestly answer these questions you are on your way...

Be honest with yourself and real because
as you are "creating a Business
you are creating... "YOUR" life!

An important reminder...
You will grow with your arts business...when you come to a point where you have to shift gears you need to know how to do that.  How to shift smoothly and effortlessly to the next level of your business.
We all wish for our lives and our business'
to continue to grow, expand and evolve into what it is meant to be.
We wish to live a creative fulfilling life!

Be Patient . Be Clear . Be Open
towards the vision of your business & your life's work.
As you move forward it may take on a most exciting direction,
one you had not counted on, or even conceived of.

Enjoy the journey! Make it a creative one.
