Discussions will take place on How to prepare yourself, and your work to present to a gallery owner and what it takes to enter art competitions. Learn how to find grant money that is available to artists and other options that you may not be fully aware of that exist. Bring both your questions and your expertise to this lively discussion on how to grow your art into a thriving arts business. The monthly meeting is free and open to the public.

And then, there is Creating Art as a Business! Both areas of creativity are necessary to developing the specific arts business you are interested in spending your time with, plus making a livelihood in. Spending your time and life is the essence of things to think about in the statement above. Be careful what you wish for. Many an artist has acquired a business with their art only to come to find they were doing more business then art. How does that happen? How to not have the business aspect take over the creativity. And what to do if you find yourself in "that place?" And then how to make your life's work fun again! All of these aspects are the ebb and flow of creating a business any business and any life. Balancing fun and joy with hard work and demands. Find the system that works for you and work it until you need a new one. Grow and evolve as you and your business grows and you will be where you wished to be when you look back and ponder where the time went and what you had achieved in the meantime. 
Enjoying every complete aspect of any business is an untruth. There is always those moments that "you have to do it" no one else will and no one else can. The responsibility is placed fully on you to make the right decisions at the right time and to forgive yourself if you messed up in some way and to get up again and move forward towards the goal you have envisioned for yourself. You make your life!
